Huey-Meei Alice Yen was born in Taiwan, the Republic of China.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the Chinese Culture Â鶹ÊÓƵ (Taiwan).  Later, she earned a Master of Business Administration from Auburn Â鶹ÊÓƵ.  She is a reader for the College Board’s AP Chinese exam and is the mother of two children. Her husband, Nick, an accountant, and she attend the Birmingham Chinese Christian Church.
