Riley Lovejoy is a community ecologist whose research investigates native community response to invasion and other stressors, primarily using aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates as focal taxa. Currently, she is investigating the distribution and effects of the zebra mussel, Dreissena polymorpha, in Alabama waters. In addition to research and teaching, she is passionate about science communication and helping connect students with tools, experiences, and opportunities to help them achieve their professional goals. In her free time, Dr. Lovejoy enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
