Our mission is to provide sufficient campus parking that meets community needs while ensuring safe, efficient traffic flow. Additionally, the department is dedicated to delivering a friendly, secure, and reliable transportation service throughout the campus community. All students, employees, contractors, and visitors are responsible for understanding and following Â鶹ÊÓƵ's traffic and parking rules.
SamTram Shuttle Service
Shuttle service will be available to students beginning the first day of classes. The SamTram shuttles will run on the main campus from 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Monday–Friday. Additional extended shuttle services from Sherman Circle to the Track and Soccer Area may be available from 7:30 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday-Friday, as needed.
Parking Permits
All student accounts are automatically charged the parking fee each Fall and Spring semester. A parking permit is valid for the full academic year, but the fee is divided between the two semesters.
Students will need to request a parking permit to be eligible to park on campus. By registering with Transportation Services, students will:
- Receive their official parking permit for their vehicle
- Learn about campus parking zones
- Review parking rules and consequences
Students who will not have a vehicle on campus during operating hours, may qualify for a Parking Fee Exemption. Students who are granted an exemption are not authorized to have a vehicle on campus during operating hours.
Students bringing a Motorized Scooter to campus must register it with transportation services and request a permit. The permit cost is $60 per academic year. Permit placement will be evaluated individually. See Transportation Services for assistance.
