Professor Patane joined Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 2015. He earned his doctorate in Number Theory from the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ of Florida. His field of research focuses on binary and ternary quadratic forms. He has also published work on theta series associated with eta-quotients of weight 1.
However his true passion is teaching Mathematics at the undergraduate level. He finds it enjoyable to watch students "open up the door to Mathematics and find a brilliant landscape they never knew existed."
Besides Math, he enjoys coffee, movies, reading, and relaxing with his wife Sue-Yen and his kids Frankie and Zoey.
