Kori Cecil is an academic adviser in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Brock School of Business. In her role, she advises sophomore and junior prebusiness and business majors.

Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Cecil attended the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Social Work  (MSW). Cecil worked as an adjunct instructor at East Tennessee State Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in Johnson City, Tennessee, and at Asbury Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in Wilmore, Kentucky, where she was also a field liaison for the MSW program.

In addition to her work with these universities, Cecil has experience working in community mental health, under a federal grant for workforce development, and as a medical social worker for a large hospital system. She moved to Birmingham in June 2016 with her two sons and her husband, David, who is a faculty member in Samford’s School of Public Health.
