Courtney B. Peters joined the Brock School of Business faculty in the fall of 2022 as an assistant professor. She teaches courses related to principles of marketing, digital and social media marketing, retail marketing and customer journey and content marketing.
Peters graduated from the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ of Memphis with her PhD in marketing in 2022. She graduated from Arkansas State Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with a BS in marketing with an emphasis in marketing management in 2013. She received her master’s degree from the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ of Arkansas-Monticello in teaching in 2015.
Her research lies at the intersection of consumer behavior, brand strategy and corporate communications. She studies how brand activism, corporate purpose and executive messaging influence consumer perceptions, social evaluations and firm performance, using experimental methods, text-based analytics and neuromarketing techniques. Her work has been published in the Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Product & Brand Management, Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice and Marketing Education Review, among others.
