Android
- Go to Wi-Fi setting in your phone.
- Select Samford Users.
- Enter your Samford username in the “Identity” field and password.
- Select “Do not validate” if prompted about a certificate.
- Tap Connect if prompted.
- You should now be connected to Samford Users.
iOS
- Go to Wi-Fi setting in your phone.
- Select Samford Users.
- Enter your Samford username and password.
- Tap Trust when prompted about the certificate.
- Tap Connect if prompted.
- You should now be connected to Samford Users.
MacOS
- In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, click the Wi-Fi icon and turn Wi-Fi on if it is not already.
- Select Samford Users from the list of available networks.
- A new window will open asking for authentication. Enter your Samford username and password. Select a certificate from the dropdown menu.
- If prompted, enter your Mac log-in credentials to save the wireless network.
- You should now be connected and able to access the internet.
Windows
- Click on the Start button and select “Settings”.
- Click “Network & internet” from the right column and “Wi-Fi” from the left column.
- Click “Show available networks”.
- Click Samford Users and choose Connect.
- A Network Authentication window will open. Enter your Samford username and password.
- Choose Connect if a Windows security alert opens asking if you would like to Terminate or Connect.
- You should now be connected to Samford Users and have full internet access.
Wireless Network Instructions for Gaming Consoles, Smart TVs, and Smart Speakers
- From your browser on your laptop go to
while connected to the Samford
Users or Samford_IOT networks. Log in with your Samford
username and password. - Click Add.
- Enter a device name for your device(This can be whatever you
would like). For example, Xbox, Echo-Dot, or Apple TV. - Enter the MAC address for your device in the text field (including
the colons). - Add a description. (Not Required)
- Click Submit
- Go to your device that you just registered and select Samford_IOT
from the list of wireless networks from the device.
