Casey Metoyer is an assistant professor of kinesiology at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Before joining Samford, he served as a performance scientist with Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer and as a sports performance associate at the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ of Notre Dame, where he integrated sport science into high-performance environments across collegiate and professional athletics. While earning his PhD in exercise science from the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ of Alabama, he served as the strength and conditioning coach for the women's gymnastics and men's golf programs. Prior to that, he spent four years with UCLA Athletics. His research focuses on athlete monitoring, performance optimization, wearable technology and translating scientific evidence into practical strategies that improve athlete health, performance and decision-making.
