Members of the 2014 Homecoming Court have been announced at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. The honorees were chosen by vote of their respective classes, and will participate in various Homecoming weekend activities on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
Court members include: freshmen Mary Helen Douglas, an early childhood education major from Macon, Georgia, and James William Miley III, a pre-business major from Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sophomores Mackenzie Brooke Davis, a communication sciences and disorders major from Brentwood, Tennessee, and Dillard Goodpasture Adams III, an engineering physics major from Nashville, Tennessee; and juniors Mary Leslie Prater, a business management and social entrepreneurship major from Vestavia Hills, Alabama; and Corry Mulligan, a journalism and mass communication major from Roswell, Georgia.
Senior class representatives are Christine Paige Carrier, a fine arts major from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; Emily Kelley, a special education major from Marietta, Georgia; Hannah Newman, a human development and family sciences major from Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Clay Hubbard, a marketing and management major from Madison, Mississippi; John Hunsicker, a biology major from St. Louis, Missouri; and Will Yarborough, a religion major from Gallatin, Tennessee.
The homecoming queen and king will be chosen from the senior class representatives and will be announced at a pep rally and bonfire at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The court will participate in a presentation on Saturday at 10:50 a.m. on Ben Brown Plaza and will be part of halftime ceremonies at the 2 p.m. homecoming football game against Concordia College on Saturday.
The events are part of a busy weekend of homecoming activities for Samford students and alumni.
