Lori Harrison’s professional nursing career includes positions in a variety of settings, but it was maternal newborn nursing that she discovered was her love. After receiving her master’s in nursing education from Auburn Â鶹ÊÓƵ, she was eager for the opportunity to return to Samford as a full-time faculty member. She loves watching students grow and become confident as not only nurses, but personally as well. Harrison has always believed nursing is a holistic form of patient care. She relies on her faith and strives to follow her favorite Bible verse: “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God” Acts 20:24. When she is not teaching, Harrison loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters.
