The executive council is the governing body of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association. Council members are nominated by school representatives or groups after demonstrating strong volunteer engagement, leadership and support of Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

Mission Statement

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association seeks to create a lifelong and worldwide community of alumni through fellowship, programs and services by increasing opportunities for engagement with each other and with the university. As a continuation of the Samford experience, the alumni association fosters growth of the individual while encouraging service to Samford, our communities and the world. The council lives out this mission by:

  • Identifying, recruiting and developing alumni leaders
  • Enhancing the student experience through scholarships and support
  • Providing meaningful benefits and services to alumni
  • Developing alumni networks and relationships through regional alumni chapters and affinity groups
  • Supporting outreach to alumni by university departments
  • Encouraging and fostering a culture for alumni to support the university through volunteer engagement and financial support
  • Facilitating programs that bring together alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends for service opportunities, fellowship and professional networking
  • Communicating university developments and alumni achievements to alumni
